As a consequence of Operation Sindoor, India has formed seven all-party delegations, including UNSC member states. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will lead this delegation to the US. Another group, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, is going to Japan.

These representatives will visit countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United arab emirates, South Africa, and Japan from next week. The statement given by the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry on Sat, May 17, said, "The all-party delegations will project India’s national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations. They would carry forth to the world the country’s strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism.” Additionally, "In the context of Operation Sindoor and India’s continued fight against cross-border terrorism, seven all-party delegations are set to visit key partner countries, including members of the U.N. Security Council later this month,”
The List controversy
The list became a political controversy because the Congress Party initially recommended that Shashi Tharoor be excluded. In a post, Congress Communication in-charge, Jairam Ramesh, said, “In the morning of May 16, the Modi Govt asked for four names of Congress MPs/leaders to represent the INC.” He added, “These names were submitted by noon the same day. But only one of those names was included in the final list released on May 17th night. This proves the complete insincerity of the Modi Govt and shows the cheap political games it always plays on serious national issues.”
After the announcement of Shashi Tharoor as a leader of the delegation, Shashi Tharoor posted on social media, "I am honoured by the invitation of the government of India to lead an all-party delegation to five key capitals, to present our nation’s point of view on recent events. When national interest is involved, and my services are required, I will not be found wanting. Jai Hind!” left the party confused because Congress released the list of four nominees, deliberately excluding Tharoor, whom the government had previously considered among others.
