Can I Take Admission in BCA Without Maths in Class 12th?
BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications. It is a three-year undergraduate level course in Information Technology. The course provides you with skills for addressing the issues related to computer applications. To be eligible for admission in the course, the candidate must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board.
The institute provides an option for specialization in BCA. Some of the BCA specialization courses include Word Processing, Animation, Systems Analysis, Database Management, Programming Languages, Accounting Applications among others.
Once the course is complete, students can explore various employment areas. The basic eligibility for BCA admission is 10+2 from a recognized board. Although students from any stream can apply for the course, there are some colleges that prefer to take students from Science background. If not Science, students must have studied Mathematics and Computer Science at 10+2 level.
If students did not even have Mathematics, then they must have studied Computer Application or Statistics in 10+2. But Mathematics is considered important as four out of six semesters have Mathematics in the course of BCA degree programme.
