Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurpurab, is a Sikh festival which is celebrated with a lot of fervour and excitement in many parts of India by Sikh and Punjabi communities alike. Most Sikh festivities are centred on the birth of their ten Gurus, who helped shape the religion and preach the importance of religious devotion. The Guru Purab was celebrated on 06th November, 2019 in Starex University at the Reception Area. The event started with prostrating in front of Ek Onkar. All the staff of ICASR and Starex University were present there to listen to Akhand path – the holy book of Guru Granth Sahab Ji. Guru Nanak Gurpurab, celebrated with merriment and utmost devotion, was a grand procession! An Akhand Path, a non-stop reading of the Sikh’s holy book Guru Granth Sahib Ji, commenced on the same day. After the event took place, the langar for all the students and faculty was served humbly. All the faculty members and students were very thankful to ICASR Management and Starex Management for making them a part of it.
