Admission Procedure

What is the process of admission in ICASR for MBA?

Serving the professionals is the main aim of MBA. So, we not just rely on the academic score or aptitude test unlike many schools but evaluate the candidates in a comprehensive manner. The aptitude test scores play an important role at the interview but have limited weightage as far as final selection is concerned. It is the quality of work experience, personal and professional achievements, attitude and aptitude, demonstrated leadership and team skills that we seek. We also hunt for the aspirants who can put in value to the class in terms of diversity and peer learning.

As part of the Interview process, we also have the analytical writing test which does assist in analyzing both the written communication skills and the thought process of the candidates. If we say in terms of the process, elimination of the group discussion content is done by us since it was felt by us that incrementally limited value was being added to the whole selection process. Instead, extra time for a deeper assessment was devoted by our panelist during the personal interview.

Can we apply online?

By making a payment through any Debit/Credit card, you can apply online. On the other hand, you can buy it from the campus and ICASR city office.

No, you can do that in parts which means that you can complete the online application in multiple sessions. You need to save the changes every time the reorganization of application is done.

Is there a necessity to submit a printed copy of the application form once I have submitted it online?

No, there is no necessity to submit a printed copy of the application form.

Which cycle should I apply in? Is there any difference in applying in Session 1 or Session 2?

MBA in ICASR is a two step process which consists of registration and submission. You can start your application whenever you want but you have to submit it before the deadline (30th June. 2018 for Session 1 and 31st August. 2018 for Session 2) which needs to be considered in the specific session.

Applicability of the sessions depends on the scores you have achieved. If you have last year’s score which means CAT 2016, XAT 2017, CMAT 2017 and GMAT taken after 1 Jan. 2015, then you need to submit the application in session 1 but if you have CAT 2017, XAT 2018 and GMAT (taken after 1 Dec. 2017) scores, then you need to submit it in cycle 2.

If we say about the process of selection, no such preference is given to applicants in any sessions and the probability is same for everyone to get selected. However, if the applicants are submitting in session 1, they get some extra time to plan everything like finances, personal commitments and exit from the companies better as by the end of December, they are provided with the admit offer.

Can I re-apply if I applied in session 1 but did not get shortlisted?

Yes, you can re-apply in Session 2 but on the condition that you have a new and improved score.

If I want to go for MBA 2018-2019, which test score will be deemed?

CAT 2016/2017, XAT 2017/2018, CMAT 2017 and GMAT Scores taken after Jan 1st, 2015 will be considered.

Which is the score that will be considered for the admission process?

Yes, the admission test will be conducted by ICASR.
